The easiest way to prevent the spread of head lice is to explain to your child how head lice spreads. Remember, lice don't fly, lice don't jump. Lice spread by head to head contact with someone who already has head lice and by sharing items which come in contact with the head. Encourage your child not to share hats, brushes, combs, pillows etc.
